Existing brand architecture
Challenge
In the midst of a visual rebrand, we were tasked with looking at the existing brand architecture and creating a short and long term solution for a simplified and more unified brand.
We started with education—creating the ‘spectrum of acquisition strategies’ to showcase how other brands in the consulting space have opted to brand acquired subsidiaries and to help guide Chartis to which strategy might work best for them.
Short-term solution
Our short term solution was to go the “endorsement” route, unifying sub brands by using the Chartis symbol and logotype while retaining existing sub-brand names. Each sub-brand would be differentiated using a different brand color.
Long-term solution
Our long-term solution was to radically simplify by removing sub-brands all together and folding them in as unbranded service offerings.
